About Azura Properties Monaco

Azura Properties Monaco was established in 2024 by Monégasque couple Ian and Jade Sosso with the goal of offering Monaco and French Riviera residents access to high-quality international property investments.

To achieve this, we have partnered with renowned property investment Guru Paul Smith and his firm, Redmayne Smith. Based in the UK, Redmayne Smith specializes in providing investors with access to lucrative property opportunities across the UK, focusing on both yield and capital appreciation. Their comprehensive, turnkey solutions make them an ideal partner for investors seeking strong returns alongside the ease of a fully managed experience.

Ian Sosso

Ian Sosso, a Venture Capitalist, winner of 2019 “best European business angel” award from EBAN, is the co-founder of Azura Properties Monaco.
Ian has been investing in real estate for close to 20 years. He was the lead investor in financing deals for villa projects in HK and for chalet projects in Japan.
He was also a main shareholder and director of the Store House, the leading HK based self storage operator which went on to be sold to Singapore Post.

Ian is also the founder of Monte Carlo Capital (MCC) in 2009, a seed stage Venture Capital firm, investing in disruptive technologies in the US, Europe and the UK via a fund and SPVs. MCC’s investors are mainly HNWI and family principals, and the team is based in Monaco.

Before founding Monte Carlo Capital, Ian was, until 2009, the regional managing director and head of capital markets in Asia for Commerzbank, where he was managing all capital markets activities in Asia, including equity derivatives, credit, precious metals, foreign exchange, debt capital markets, as well as the treasuries of HK, Singapore and Shanghai.
Ian started his career in 1993 and previously worked in Paris, London, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong with HSBC, UBS and JPMorgan, holding positions in trading, sales and financial engineering.
Over the years, Ian has been a keynote speaker at numerous conferences in Monaco, throughout Europe, the US, Dubai, Russia, and throughout Asia.
Until 2021, Ian was an adjunct professor for venture capital and entrepreneurial finance for MBA and finance MSc students at the International University of Monaco
Ian joined the European Business Angels Network (EBAN) in 2016 and in 2017 won the best performing new member award of EBAN. Ian was elected to the board of EBAN in June 2018 and in June 2019 won the “best European early stage investor” award, EBAN’s most prestigious award. EBAN is the pan-European trade association for the early-stage investor community, representing Europe’s 10,000+ business angels, and gathers member organisations in 59 countries. He is also a board member of the Monaco Venture Capital Association.

Jade Sosso

Jade is the co-founder of Azura Properties. She started her career in Cambridge for Thomson Financial, before working for the FTSE in the City of London. Jade then moved to HK with Ian where she founded Acantha, a luxury home scents company with clients across Asia. Jade has had a longstanding interest in real estate, and was already planning to open a real estate agency in London before she met Ian and the both moved to HK. She holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough university and a MSc in International Management from Bocconi University in Milan. Jade was born in London and is a monégasque.
